The movie "The Negotiator" was derived from the facts surrounding this case.  We hear from Producer John, his brother Joe Frank, and HRT (Hostage Response Team) member retired Sgt. Tony Lachenicht who was member of the team that responded to the scene when Col. John Frank was taken hostage.
